SPANISH FOR EDUCATORS
Essential objective:
To empower members of the school system to be more successful in communicating with Hispanic students and their parents in a the school environment by using Spanish as a second language improving they relationship.
Workshop Schedule
The classes will be developed in three blocks
Introduction to the Spanish workshop
Teaching will be focused on basic expressions, vocabulary, reference grammar theory and practice exercises, story, and action, with the intention to develop writing and reading skills. Syntax mechanisms to improve the level of conversation will also be taught.
The students will be working in groups and individually, participating actively in school project presentations/storytelling, using the target language. Also, they will be working in hands-on activities which are aimed at developing a positive attitude using the target language.
